2026 Gas Revolution: Iraq Launches Bin Umar Field Production at 80M SCFD to Reduce Imports and Support the National Grid

 Spring 2026 marked a major milestone in Iraq's energy sector with the launch of the Bin Umar gas project, designed to supply dry gas and LPG to the national grid. Executed by local expertise, the project produces up to 80 million SCFD, significantly supporting Iraq's 2026 self-sufficiency goals. The production of 1,800 barrels of condensates and 600 tons of LPG daily will stabilize market prices and enhance state revenues.
