Aerial footage documented the overflow of the Euphrates River onto a wide expanse of agricultural fields adjacent to the bridge connecting the villages of Al-Ramadi and Abu Al-Hassan within the Al-Bukamal countryside in the eastern sector of Syria's Deir ez-Zor
governorate. This water surge coincides with the escalation of discharge rates from the Kediran Dam to approximately 1,200 cubic meters per second, driven by increasing water supplies originating from the Turkish side, as part of arrangements aimed at boosting the
available storage capacity at the Euphrates Dam in preparation for expected flows throughout the winter season. In this context, the water resources authorities in Deir ez-Zor confirmed that the increased passage led to a rise in the river's level by
about 40 centimeters, resulting in the submersion of additional areas, particularly in the plain regions of the governorate. These developments emerge as a continuation of previous waves of similar river level rises witnessed along the riverbed during the current year,
prompting the relevant official authorities to implement intensive precautionary measures to protect infrastructure, water stations, and farms adjacent to the riverbanks.
