Artist Faya Younan has revealed details of her skin cancer experience, a year after keeping it private. She decided to share her story, transforming it into an awareness message about the importance of early detection. In a video shared on social
media platforms, Younan recounted last summer's events. She noticed a small mole on her back, feeling she was seeing it for the first time, questioning whether it was new or an old one she hadn't noticed. Despite intending to have it
examined, she postponed it for months. However, a dream, she narrated, prompted her to make a decisive choice and visit a doctor that very day. The doctor immediately requested the mole's removal and sent it for analysis; the diagnosis of skin
cancer emerged two days later. This was followed by a wider operation to remove a section of the surrounding skin, which was also examined to ensure it was free of other cancerous cells. Younan recalls that moment with emotion, explaining she
shed "tears of gratitude" for the condition's discovery before it spread and for the clear results of subsequent tests. A year later, Younan transformed her experience into an awareness message. She stated: "This is my sweet story with cancer, and I
say sweet because its ending, for me, was happy," confirming her desire to share it with the public came "as a form of awareness" and as a story worth telling. Concluding her message, Faya emphasized the importance of paying attention to
skin changes and not delaying their examination. She asserted that knowledge and responsibility towards health contribute to saving lives, ending with the phrase: "Take good care of yourselves, and may God protect everyone... I love you."
