The Prime Minister, Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, directed on Wednesday to follow up on the file of raising the volume of oil exports and diversifying export outlets.
His media office stated in a statement that "the Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi made a visit on Wednesday to the headquarters of the Ministry of Oil in Baghdad, during which he chaired a meeting of the ministry's advanced staff,
in the presence of the Ministers of Oil and Foreign Affairs and the Director of the Prime Minister's Office."
The statement added that "Al-Zaidi listened to a briefing presented by the Minister of Oil on the progress of work in the ministry's projects, especially regarding measures to address the crisis of the Strait of Hormuz closure and the halt
of oil exports, and he also reviewed ongoing associated gas projects and the prominent challenges facing work progress in them."

It continued that "the meeting touched upon the issue of oil export and finding diverse outlets for export, the mechanism for implementing the Cabinet's decisions in this regard, as well as discussing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' measures regarding following
up on agreements concluded with several neighboring countries to export oil overland."
