Data released by the International Energy Agency on Saturday showed that member nations have drawn 325 million barrels of oil and refined products from strategic reserves, fulfilling part of their 400-million-barrel pledge made in March following the Middle East war.
This step followed the Group of Seven's agreement with the agency to promptly release 100 million barrels of crude and diesel to ease global supply concerns resulting from the conflict. However, the G7 did not clarify whether this volume includes
the remaining 75 million barrels or represents an additional separate commitment.
