Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqaei announced on Saturday that the precise timing for the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Iran and the United States remains undecided, confirming it will not occur this Sunday. Baqaei told Iranian
media that the active MoU, also known as the "Islamabad Declaration," currently prioritizes ending the war. He indicated that discussions on the Iranian nuclear file have been postponed for this negotiation phase. Baqaei clarified that the agreement could still be
signed in the coming days, but urged caution in evaluating the negotiations due to what he termed "fluctuating positions from the other side." He concluded: "We must await the exact signing date; while not tomorrow, its likelihood in the days
ahead is not ruled out."
