A high-level Iraqi delegation met on Thursday with officials from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior for talks concerning files of mutual interest, with a particular focus on security and media fields. This meeting, according to a statement issued by the Office
of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, comes in response to directives from the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief, emphasizing adherence to principles of good neighborliness and enhancing cooperation with friendly and fraternal states, especially those in the region. The Iraqi delegation
was received at the Ministry's headquarters by the Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior, Major General Abdul Wahab Ahmed Al-Wahib, following instructions from the Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, First Lieutenant General Abdul
Amir Al-Shammari. The Iraqi delegation included the Head of the Security Media Cell, Lieutenant General Saad Maan, and the Official Spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Noaman, in addition to the Consul of the Republic of Iraq's Embassy
in Kuwait, Haider Al-Tamimi, and the Chargé d'Affaires, Diaa Al-Amiri. During the discussions, Lieutenant General Maan conveyed the greetings of the Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to the Kuwaiti side, affirming the deep historical and
fraternal ties between the two countries, and Iraq's keenness to strengthen cooperation and coordination in areas of mutual concern. The talks explored prospects for cooperation and the development of effective communication mechanisms between relevant institutions, with the aim of supporting the
fraternal relations and consolidating the principles of good neighborliness and joint cooperation between Iraq and Kuwait. This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to activate communication channels and enhance coordination on shared files, particularly in the security and media sectors, serving
the supreme interests of the two brotherly countries.
