The Iraqi Ministry of Oil on Friday denied exporting any oil shipments via railway to Iran and subsequently to Turkey. The ministry issued a statement refuting news circulated by local and foreign news agencies regarding this matter. The ministry affirmed
that all Iraqi oil export operations are conducted according to the established procedures it adopts, in conjunction with the State Organization for Marketing of Oil (SOMO), and exclusively through previously announced outlets. The ministry urged media outlets to obtain information
solely from its official sources.
