The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on Monday urged the Iraqi federal government to take a serious stance following the targeting of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani's office and the Protection Agency (Parastin) director's headquarters by two drones. In
a statement, the KDP expressed deep regret over the drone attack last night on PM Barzani's office and the Parastin director's headquarters. This incident occurred while all expected Iraq and the Kurdistan Region's security and stability to be preserved. The
KRG's efforts are focused on keeping itself and Iraq out of regional crises and tensions, asserting that the Region has never been, nor will it ever be, involved in wars and conflicts. The Kurdistan Democratic Party condemned this act of sabotage
in the strongest terms, deeming such actions detrimental to all parties' interests, a threat to relations, and a further complication of the situation. The KDP stressed the Iraqi federal government's duty to seriously address this issue, halt these attacks and violations,
and swiftly find suitable means to counter such aggressions.
