Oil flows from the Middle East continue through the Strait of Hormuz, despite escalating attacks in the region. The sustained exports rely on ship-to-ship transfers conducted outside the Strait's immediate vicinity. Satellite imagery revealed twelve such transfers yesterday, spanning over
100 kilometers off the coasts of Oman and the UAE. These operations indicate that some tankers continue to navigate the Strait with their tracking devices switched off. Furthermore, ship tracking data, compiled by various sources, showed four supertankers, carrying approximately
eight million barrels of crude, reappearing after crossing the Strait of Hormuz since last Saturday. It is likely that some of these tankers are continuing their offshore transfers, while others are heading to refineries in different parts of the world.
