French President Emmanuel Macron recently announced efforts to establish a vital pipeline for transporting gas and oil from Iraq to the European market. This initiative will be carried out in joint coordination with both Iraq and Jordan. Macron explained that the
conflict in the Middle East exacerbates the energy crisis and increases citizens' suffering due to rising fuel prices, emphasizing that this crisis is not limited to France alone but affects all countries of the European continent. He indicated that his country
has no hand in the conflict that led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz but is experiencing its repercussions, calling for a diplomatic solution to ensure the safe reopening of the Strait. The French President added that France participated
in an international mission to escort oil tankers and ensure their safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. He also pointed to his country's intention to accelerate gas storage projects in Europe to alleviate the burden of energy prices and
provide sustainable alternatives.
