The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has resumed crude oil exports via its primary East-West pipeline, which sustained damage earlier this month due to drone attacks. Saudi state oil giant Aramco had conducted extensive tests on the pipeline last week, aiming
to restart actual oil flows by the end of that week. The resumption of external shipments has now been confirmed. This recommencement of oil pumping offers a vital alternative route for the Kingdom to export crude, especially amid the near-complete
closure of the strategic navigation corridor in the Strait of Hormuz. This development is expected to reassure international buyers who were in urgent need of supplies, particularly after Aramco informed some of its European customers that no oil volumes would
be allocated to them next month under futures contracts.
