The Supreme Council for Financial and Monetary Stability held its second session today, Saturday, chaired by Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, with attendance from heads and directors of relevant bodies and institutions. The Council discussed national financial, monetary, and economic conditions,
including current indicators and challenges. It explored enhancing coordination between fiscal and monetary policies to strengthen stability. Mechanisms for improving non-oil resource management, ensuring liquidity, and supporting economic and banking reform were also deliberated. Boosting the financial system's efficiency to foster
a sustainable economic environment was a key aim. Prime Minister Al-Zaidi stressed continuous coordination and joint work among ministries and institutions. He urged monitoring Council decisions and adopting practical solutions for financial and monetary challenges. This seeks to preserve economic stability,
enhance the national economy's resilience, and stimulate non-oil economic activities.
