Former U.S. President Donald Trump recently acknowledged a decline in the strength of pro-Israel lobbying groups in the United States. For decades, successive U.S. administrations have provided military and political support to Israel, which occupies Palestine and territories in neighboring

Lebanon and Syria. Trump's statement came during an interview with conservative American journalist Wayne Allyn Root on the Real America's Voice television network. Trump stated: "The biggest change I've seen over the last ten or fifteen years is what has happened

to Israel and the Jewish people." He added: "They had a very strong lobby 20 or 25 years ago, they had the strongest lobby in Washington," referring to its diminished power. He further spoke about the lobby's declining influence in Congress,

saying: "Now, as you know, everybody, in particular a large number of them (not supporting Israel). If you look at the House, you will find that the Democrats are dominant." He continued: "Look at people like (Senate Democratic minority leader

Chuck) Schumer, he has become almost Palestinian. It's really amazing, I've never seen anything like it before." Trump had previously spoken multiple times about the declining power of the pro-Israel lobby in the United States. Elections in the U.S. reveal the

emergence of figures opposing Israeli policies and absolute American support for them. Furthermore, numerous American voices are rising against the intervention of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the largest of these lobbying groups, in U.S. domestic politics.
