The Turkish Presidency announced on Friday that any armed attack targeting states party to the defense agreement is considered an attack on all of them. A statement from the Presidency clarified that "any armed attack on any of the states,
namely Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, is deemed an assault on all of them," indicating that "the signing of the Mecca Common Defense Agreement demonstrates a commitment to continuously enhance collective security." The statement also explained that "the agreement aims
to strengthen collective deterrence against any hostile act."
