Basra Heavy and Medium crude prices witnessed a slight decline on Wednesday, despite the significant rise observed in global and regional oil prices. Global oil price data indicated a 9-cent decrease in the price of Basra Heavy crude, settling at $80.34
per barrel, registering a 0.11% drop. Similarly, Basra Medium crude declined by the same amount to reach $83.64 per barrel, also a 0.11% decrease. Globally, Brent crude rose by 81 cents to $95.46 per barrel, an increase of 0.86%. The American
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also climbed by 49 cents to $90.71 per barrel, marking a 0.54% rise. Regarding regional crudes, the UAE's Murban crude recorded a substantial jump of $7.70, reaching $106.15 per barrel, an increase of 7.82%. Meanwhile, Oman
crude on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange rose to $94.31, an increase of $3.88 or 4.29%. Furthermore, the OPEC basket price increased to $91.98 per barrel, up by $2.39 or 2.67%, while Kuwaiti export crude reached $89.65, rising by $2.21 or 2.53%.
