Egyptian actress Mai Kassab expressed her deep desire to abandon the acting world and completely step away from the noise of fame and spotlights, in order to fully dedicate herself to worshiping God, pointing out that such a step reflects
the highest levels of certainty and spiritual commitment. This came during her appearance on the program "Mirror" hosted by media figure Khaled Farag, where she explained that the idea of leaving the spotlight remains a dream that accompanies her and
she hopes to achieve it one day. She added that letting go of worldly pleasures and focusing on worship is a lofty rank of obedience, stating that she no longer seeks anything else from life and fulfills the fundamental purpose
for which humans were created. The actress emphasized that she has never strived for fame or public celebration, clarifying that losing the spotlight would not pose a psychological obstacle for her, as she never chased media glare throughout her career.
She touched playfully on her artistic beginnings when some people mistakenly called her by other artists' names, affirming that the matter used to make her laugh and never bothered her. Regarding the stance of her husband, singer Oka, on this
potential step, she indicated that her personal choices do not obligate him to make similar decisions, highlighting the nature of their relationship based on respect and independent choices. She cited an example of this during her journey to perform the
Hajj pilgrimage when she offered him to accompany her and his apology due to not being ready at that time, leading her to travel accompanied by artist Shaima Seif to perform the ritual on behalf of her parents.
