The Prime Minister's spokesperson, Haider Al-Aboudi, affirmed on Wednesday that Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi will not tolerate the uncovering of corrupt individuals, noting that employee and retiree salaries are fully secured, and no currency printing will occur. At a press
conference at the Council of Ministers, Al-Aboudi clarified that the government decided, based on the Prime Minister's directive, to adopt a program budget in coordination with the World Bank. He highlighted that the Prime Minister also adopted the Development Fund
project through effective international contributions. He further stated that the Prime Minister adopted the policy of confining arms to the state within a specified timeframe, stressing he will not hesitate to announce those involved in public fund theft. Al-Aboudi indicated the government's
commitment to paying the dues of contract employees and wage earners, with their transfer to the budget framework left to the Ministry of Finance. He reiterated that employee and retiree salaries are secure, with no currency printing. He explained that the
Development Fund is an investment vehicle relying on international contributions from Iraq's friends to cover developmental requirements. The Ministry of Finance is currently preparing a program budget, which the Prime Minister decided to adopt to enhance economic reforms. Al-Aboudi confirmed the
government aims to complete its ministerial cabinet, but the Council of Representatives is presently on legislative recess. If political consensus is achieved, a session for voting on the remaining cabinet positions is possible. He emphasized Iraq will not accept being
a launchpad for targeting any country, nor accept any interference in its affairs.
