The Iraqi Ministry of Oil today, Thursday, attributed the limited fluctuations in gas markets to unregulated practices by some traders and transporters rather than a production shortage. The ministry stated that the complex regional conditions of 2026 affected crude extraction
rates, impacting associated gas; however, it stressed that sufficient quantities are available for daily consumption. The ministry called for ensuring smooth distribution to prevent price manipulation, confirming that complexes relying on central gas recorded no shortages, proving the stability of
the national supply system despite regional navigation challenges.
