Israel is set to implement a gasoline price increase, with the decision coming into effect from October 1, 2026. This rise, announced by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, coincides with the global surge in living costs and the ongoing
turmoil in fuel and energy markets. The maximum price for a liter of 95 octane gasoline will reach 8.27 shekels (equivalent to 2.69 US dollars) at self-service stations. This price includes value-added tax and represents an increase of 52 agorot compared
to the previous tariff. The additional charge for full service will remain unchanged at 26 agorot per liter. The Ministry attributed the price hike to developments in global energy markets, where international gasoline prices have risen by approximately 13%. These increases
are primarily influenced by surging oil prices and ongoing concerns regarding the stability of its supplies in the global market. Furthermore, a 3% rise in the dollar exchange rate has contributed to the increased fuel costs within Israel.
