The Ministry of Electricity announced on Tuesday the actual entry of 600 megawatts of electricity from Turkey into the national grid. The ministry clarified that this measure follows the Prime Minister's visit to Turkey, which contributed to the resumption of
Iraq's power supply. The official spokesperson for the ministry, Ahmed Turki Jiad, stated that the resumption of supply came in response to the Prime Minister's request during his visit to support the energy sector, and upon the Minister of Electricity's
instruction to the contracting company to restart the lines. Jiad affirmed that work is underway to reach a specific payment mechanism for the 600 megawatts that have effectively commenced operation within the national grid.
