Iraq's Council of Representatives adjourned its session today, Thursday, until further notice, according to a statement from the council's media department. The session completed reports and discussed draft laws: one for Iraq's ratification of the UN Convention on International Settlement Agreements
Resulting from Mediation, and another for the Strategic Partnership Treaty between Iraq and France. Furthermore, the session finalized the first reading of a draft law ratifying an agreement with Oman on mutual exemption for diplomatic, special, and service passport holders, alongside
the first reading of the Food and Drug Authority draft law. Finally, the Council voted on recommendations from Parliamentary Order No. (63) for 2026, which investigates Tigris River pollution causes, identifies responsible parties, and outlines mitigation measures.
