The Iraqi Parliament concluded its session held to elect the president.
During the session chaired by Haibat Al-Halbousi, Nizar Mohammed Saeed Amidi was elected with 227 votes.
His rival Muthanna Amin Nader received 15 votes, while seven ballots were invalid.
The session was then adjourned after completing the constitutional process.
