Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi, on Tuesday, congratulated the Iraqi people and Muslims worldwide on the advent of the new Hijri year, in a post published on the "X" social media platform. Al-Zaidi blessed the arrival of the Hijri year and the
welcoming of the holy month of Muharram and the immortal Husseini Revolution, emphasizing pride and belonging to the noble Prophetic approach and the values of Ahl al-Bayt in upholding truth, justice, and human dignity. He noted that current global challenges underscore
the increased need to draw inspiration from the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), making his blessed life a beacon for guidance, unity, and brotherhood among Muslims, fostering mercy, tolerance, and coexistence. The Prime Minister affirmed
that "our beloved Iraq has been and will remain a bright image embodying the principles of the tolerant Muhammadan message, through its religious, ideological, intellectual, and societal diversity. Its components integrate to present a civilized and humanitarian model reflecting Iraq's
authenticity and historical role in serving the values of peace and love." Al-Zaidi concluded his message by praying that the new Hijri year brings goodness, security, and stability to Iraq and its people, and to the entire Islamic nation.
