Representative Othman Al-Shaibani, from the State of Law coalition, announced on Tuesday the nomination of Yasser Sakhil, head of the Al-Bashayer movement and a prominent coalition leader, for the Minister of Interior position. This nomination follows a current trend within the
Coordination Framework and various political forces to select a civilian figure to lead the Interior Ministry. Al-Shaibani explained this, noting that advancing bloc leaders and prominent figures to executive roles aims to ensure their direct accountability for the decisions and
choices made by political parties. Al-Shaibani affirmed that Yasser Sakhil has extensive security expertise, having supervised the equipping of weapons and combat units during the anti-terrorism war for years. Sakhil also served as a special official for the Prime Minister for
seven years.
