The Strait of Hormuz saw only three vessels transit yesterday, Thursday, marking the lowest daily number recorded since May, amidst a halt in transit for most ships or their return to their points of origin. This significant decline in maritime
traffic follows recent attacks attributed to Tehran targeting vessels, in addition to the United States resuming its naval blockade on Iran-linked shipping. Shipping tracking data revealed that the sanctioned tanker "Mirian," loaded with fuel oil, and the small LPG vessel "Norita"
exited the Strait on Thursday via an Iranian route but subsequently stopped in the Gulf of Oman, an area subject to the American blockade. Other data also indicated that the tanker "Aroula," carrying Iraqi fuel oil and used for bunkering
at sea, turned back towards the Gulf just hours after its departure early Friday morning.
