An incident unfolded off the Omani coast, prompting authorities to tow an oil tanker to one of the Sultanate's ports after it suffered an attack that ignited a fire in its engine room. The Omani Maritime Security Center reported these
developments on Tuesday. The Center confirmed the evacuation of twenty-three crew members from the tanker, named "Eljayah." Search operations are actively underway for two crew members who remain unaccounted for. The Panamanian-flagged "Eljayah" was towed to a secure port in the Sultanate
of Oman after the blaze in its engine room, which resulted from the earlier targeting, was successfully extinguished. The incident occurred 103 nautical miles northeast of Musandam Governorate.
