The United States has resumed crude oil imports from Iraq in limited volumes, amounting to 6,000 barrels per day last week. This follows a seven-week consecutive halt with no recorded Iraqi oil imports. Data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration
(EIA) released on Sunday showed Iraq as the eighth-largest oil supplier to the United States during the period. Canada led the list of suppliers with 3.806 million barrels per day, followed by Venezuela at 730,000 barrels, then Brazil at 336,000
barrels, Mexico at 295,000 barrels, Ecuador at 200,000 barrels, Libya at 26,000 barrels, and Saudi Arabia at 9,000 barrels per day. Meanwhile, imports from Colombia and Nigeria stood at zero.
