International; US authorities issued warning directives today, Friday, to citizens present in the Middle East region. The US Embassy in Jordan clarified that nationals currently in the area should be prepared to depart due to the complexities surrounding the current
security environment. The diplomatic mission emphasized the necessity of being aware of potential risks related to flight services, airspace closures, and anticipated travel disruptions. It indicated that Houthi groups backed by Iran have engaged in military confrontations linked to Saudi
Arabia, including attacks targeting civilian airports and critical infrastructure, resulting in civilian casualties, and affirming that these conflicts are prone to rapid escalation. The directives stressed that Americans traveling to the Middle East must monitor updates regarding aviation services and
carriers, in addition to being informed about guidelines and information issued by official authorities regarding field conditions, borders, civil areas, specific locations in Iran, and those related to air navigation notices.
