Giant crude oil tanker operating fees on the Middle East-China route are nearing two-month highs. This rise is due to oil exporters securing more vessels for crude transport via the Strait of Hormuz, amid persistent security uncertainty. Daily revenues for
this route reached about $510,000 on Monday, the highest since late June. This coincided with renewed vessel targeting in the Strait. The supertanker "Mongolia Prosperity" is set to carry a crude shipment from a Gulf port to East Asia for
$31 million per voyage, as per shipping data and maritime brokers.
