Gulf Keystone announced the temporary suspension of oil production from the Shaikan field in Duhok Governorate, describing the decision as a precautionary measure. The company, one of the prominent oil companies operating in the Kurdistan Region, clarified that this action
is taken to ensure safety and in response to the evolving security situation in the area. Gulf Keystone confirmed that its assets and facilities have not sustained any damage. It noted that the total daily production from the Shaikan field
recently exceeded 45,000 barrels of oil. The company pledged to monitor developments closely, stating that it will issue updates and additional information when necessary.
