Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced Iran and Oman are very close to a new maritime route agreement through the Strait of Hormuz. Naval discussions are ongoing, based on maps, to define the new path. Tehran and Muscat are also
exploring a temporary route for goods. Araqchi added the previous traffic separation plan is no longer acceptable to Tehran, necessitating an updated route. He stressed that violating the MoU and undermining Iran's Hormuz management is "absolutely unacceptable." Its reopening, he
stated, depends on other conditions, including compensation for Washington's violations of the Islamabad MoU.
