The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs congratulated, today, Monday, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries on the anniversary of the council's founding, while confirming that the security and stability of the Arab Gulf states is an inseparable part of the Arab national security system.
The media office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement received by (Al-Rabiya) that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Republic of Iraq expresses its sincere congratulations to the countries of the Cooperation Council for the
Arab States of the Gulf on the occasion of the forty-fifth anniversary of the council's establishment, which falls on the twenty-fifth of May, praising its role in promoting cooperation and integration and consolidating security and stability in the region."
The ministry emphasized, according to the statement, that "the security and stability of the Arab Gulf states is an inseparable part of the Arab national security system, and that Iraq views Gulf security as an extension of its national and ethnic security."
The ministry reaffirmed Iraq's position supporting the enhancement of fraternal relations and joint cooperation with the Arab Gulf states, contributing to supporting regional stability and achieving joint development, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing dialogue and understanding in addressing various issues and challenges to enhance security and stability in the region.
