Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday that Islamabad continues its efforts to find a solution to the Middle East crisis. A ministry spokesperson explained that the visit of Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir to Tehran was part of
mediation between Iran and the United States. The spokesperson added that the visit also aimed to "boost efforts to open the Strait of Hormuz." He further praised the trade relations between Pakistan and Iran, stressing his country's desire to enhance
commercial ties with Tehran.
