The office of Grand Religious Authority Sayyid Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani in Beirut announced Wednesday a new humanitarian initiative in Lebanon. It aims to assist orphans affected by the aggression on the country. The office stated in a released statement that
this initiative will support orphans not yet covered by relevant associations and institutions, through a monthly financial sum for each eligible child. This humanitarian effort coincides with the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his grandson, Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq
(PBUH). The initiative seeks to alleviate the suffering of these children, applying specific rules and criteria to ensure applications meet the required conditions.
