An economic expert revealed that internal and external borrowing will cover approximately 88% of the estimated 43 trillion dinar budget deficit for the year 2027, with loans and various financing sources expected to reach about 38 trillion dinars. Data indicates
that total external borrowing amounts to 16.156 trillion dinars, divided between 8.421 trillion dinars in new loans and 7.735 trillion dinars in ongoing loans. Internal borrowing is estimated at around 21.734 trillion dinars, including 14.743 trillion dinars from treasury bill
issuances, 5 trillion dinars from bonds, and 2 trillion dinars from government bank loans. Thus, the total internal and external borrowing reaches approximately 37.89 trillion dinars, highlighting the heavy reliance of the upcoming budget on borrowing to cover the majority
of the financial deficit.
