Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi received the Special Presidential Envoy of the US President, Tom Barrack, on Monday evening, in a meeting focused on prospects for developing joint cooperation and opening new channels for bilateral coordination between Baghdad and Washington.
The Prime Minister's media office explained in the details of the meeting that the two sides reviewed the overall relations between the two friendly countries and discussed ways to activate partnership in multiple sectors. The two sides also touched upon
the rapid developments witnessed in the region and exchanged views on efforts aimed at consolidating regional security and stability, in a way that achieves mutual interests and contributes to calming existing regional tensions and conflicts.
