The Ministry of Oil clarified on Monday the circumstances behind Iraqi crude oil exports reaching 4 million barrels per day. The Ministry stated in a communiqué that "this record quantity was registered for a single day of export, resulting from
the Oil Marketing Company's dispatch of crude outside the Hormuz Strait maritime route." It added that "the tanker was loaded with Qayyara crude, alongside quantities from southern ports and the northern outlet, loaded according to a schedule for completing economic
volumes suitable for tanker uplift." The Ministry affirmed that "the average daily Iraqi crude export in September, up to this clarification, reached about 2.6 million barrels per day, noting its potential to change based on expected exports in the month's
remaining days." It emphasized that "achieving these rates is an accomplishment amidst current conditions and continued Strait of Hormuz closure, reflecting its commitment to sustaining oil exports at maximum possible volume to boost general treasury revenues."
