The Saudi-led coalition issued an urgent demand for civilians residing in the Yemeni capital to evacuate a specific site belonging to the Yemen Oil Company, specifically the central Al-Sabahah station, in order to carry out qualitative military operations. This directive
was preceded by a preliminary announcement urging people to stay away from that area to protect lives. In a related context, coalition spokesman Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki explained, through official directives issued by the joint command, that the evacuation request
comes in accordance with approved explanatory maps to ensure everyone's safety. In contrast, tensions escalated following an official response from the Houthi military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, who threatened that any bombardment or targeting of the city of Sanaa
would be met with a painful and severe response in the Saudi capital. Saree also issued another warning calling on all workers and civilians close to Aramco oil facilities to stay away from them immediately, considering them legitimate targets for
upcoming operations.
