Sadr al-Din al-Qabbanji, the Friday prayer leader in Najaf al-Ashraf, affirmed that a "foreign veto" is hindering the completion of Iraq's ministerial cabinet, calling for a rejection of external pressures to ensure this matter is resolved. During his Friday sermon,
al-Qabbanji pointed out that the Iraqi government is still operating with nine vacant ministries, despite more than 115 days having passed since its formation. The vacant portfolios include Defense, Interior, Planning, Higher Education, Reconstruction, Culture, Labor, Youth and Sports, and
Migration and Displaced Persons. He emphasized that the core of the problem lies in the "foreign veto" imposed on certain parties. Concluding his sermon, he expressed hope that the Coordination Framework and the Premiership would expedite the cabinet's completion, cautioning
against succumbing to any foreign pressures.
