On Wednesday, Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi visited the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus. He was accompanied by Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaybani during the visit, where Al-Zaidi performed prayers inside the mosque's sanctuary and then explored the historical landmarks of
this esteemed Islamic monument. He also inscribed a message in the visitors' book near the Treasury Dome in the mosque's courtyard. During this occasion, the Prime Minister donated a sum of money from his personal account to support the mosque's
needs and requirements.
