The Speaker of Parliament, on Thursday, visited the families of Brigadier General Hisham Mohammed Talla' Al-Salman and Commissioner Khalid Abbas Lafta Al-Fawali. They were martyred while performing official duties in the Dura area during an operation to remove encroachments and
enforce the law. The Speaker offered his condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families. In a statement from his media office, Al-Halbousi affirmed commitment to holding the perpetrators of this heinous crime accountable. He stressed that targeting security forces during duty
constitutes an assault on the state and its legal authority, necessitating a firm stance and strict legal action. He added that justice would prevail, ensuring the perpetrators receive their just punishment according to the law.
