The Supreme Judicial Council announced on Monday the seizure of significant funds and properties during ongoing investigations with the detained suspect, Ali Maaraj Swaidij Al-Bahadli, Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs at the Ministry of Oil. Judge Dhia Jaafar, an investigating judge
at the Central Criminal Court for Anti-Corruption, clarified that preliminary investigations with Al-Bahadli resulted in the confiscation of 11 million US dollars and 4 billion Iraqi dinars. The specialized judge added that the seizure operation also included several real estate
properties, noting that investigations in the case are still ongoing to uncover further details.
