The Iranian Foreign Ministry expressed on Monday its readiness to deploy good offices aimed at facilitating talks between Yemen and Saudi Arabia to ease existing tensions. In an official statement, the ministry emphasized that maritime security will not be restored
in the Strait of Hormuz if the American economic blockade and war against Iran persist. It noted that Washington's claims regarding opening the waterway and depriving Tehran of its strategic leverage do not reflect the actual reality on the ground.
Tehran also highlighted the ongoing indirect communication with the United States through mediators, indicating that it is currently reviewing the American response to its initiative before notifying intermediaries. Furthermore, the ministry demanded the removal of newly imposed American sanctions, affirming
that its presented proposal strictly incorporates all commitments outlined in the memorandum of understanding.
