The Dialogue Forum in Basra governorate witnessed a clear affirmation on Monday by the head of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council, Sheikh Humam Hammoudi, on the necessity of adhering to the constitutional political system based on the rule of the
people and their decision, while preserving it and rejecting any external interference. Hammoudi pointed out in his speech that the country is moving steadily toward a new phase centered on complete and comprehensive sovereignty, explaining that the withdrawal of US
forces was achieved based on a pure Iraqi decision. He clarified that government efforts are ongoing to end the foreign military presence, including Turkish forces and NATO troops, alongside an agreement to expel Turkish opposition forces and disarm the opposition
Iranian Kurdish parties located in northern Iraq. He noted that dialogue and understanding with the factions represent the most successful way to address security matters, affirming that the resistance factions played a role in protecting the state. He revealed an
agreed-upon plan with the factions consisting of three stages, each lasting three months, starting with a phase of halting attacks and proving good intentions, while warning at the same time against attempts by certain parties to sabotage understandings related to
weapon control, which requires awareness and insight to maintain stability and protect the existing system. Regarding economic affairs, he noted that economic activity is linked to the salaries file and ensuring its continuity, stressing that the prime minister is undergoing
a real test to maintain the official exchange rate of the dollar, along with the importance of adhering to the prime minister decision not to receive additional salaries and allowances for himself and his deputies. He added that the Coordination
Framework has worked to organize its internal environment by forming committees to follow up on various strategic files such as security, economy, politics, and services, and to set the necessary government visions regarding them. He concluded by emphasizing that filling
ministerial vacancies and completing the government formation will fully enhance the government's responsibilities, pointing out that the world is undergoing rapid changes coinciding with the increasing international isolation of Israel, and stressing the importance of protecting the independent national decision,
enhancing societal awareness, and concerted efforts to consolidate sovereignty and stability and meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
