The Moroccan Royal Court announced on Sunday the dismissal of Madiha Khiyair from her position as Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Education and Preschool Learning, in charge of Vocational Training and Qualifications, just two days after her official

appointment. This decision came in the wake of the circulation of medical documents and personal information regarding her psychological state on social media platforms, linked to an old legal file dating back to 2004 concerning a financial fraud case. A

statement issued by the Royal Court explained that King Mohammed Sixth approved the request submitted by Head of Government Fatima Al-Mansouri to relieve Madiha Khiyair of her duties, in accordance with the provisions of Article 47 of the Constitution. Meanwhile,

Government Spokesperson Samir Balfaqih stated during remarks on Sunday that the government's urgent handling of the personal judicial and medical data accompanying the appointment falls within the framework of the executive authority assuming its full responsibilities and ensuring appropriate conditions

to complete the constitutional formation of the government. Balfaqih added in an official statement that the step was taken based on a political and institutional assessment shared with the components of the governmental majority, which renewed their joint determination to

succeed in this governmental experience and direct public debate toward the government program, citizens expectations, and public service. The dismissed minister belongs to the Istiqlal Party, a member of the governmental coalition led by the Authenticity and Modernity Party, which

topped the parliamentary elections held on September 23, and also includes the Party of Progress and Socialism and the Socialist Union of Popular Forces. Madiha Khiyair had topped the election results in the Beni Mellal district in central the country

after obtaining more than 21,000 votes, before being appointed head of her party parliamentary bloc and subsequently assuming governmental responsibility. The dismissal decision came amid a wide wave of controversy across social media platforms following the announcement of the new

government, due to the circulation of medical documents and old data concerning her previous health and psychological status, which sparked intense discussions regarding her suitability for the ministerial post. According to local media reports, the circulated documents included a medical

certificate issued by a specialist in psychiatric diseases, indicating previous suicide attempts, a lack of psychological and emotional maturity, and structural psychological fragility, while linking these documents to an old legal file related to fraud and swindling.
