Egyptian actor Islam Gamal survived an armed robbery attempt targeting his private vehicle while driving alongside his wife and young son in 6th of October City, located in Giza Governorate. The incident unfolded as the young actor was driving on
his usual route from the Sheikh Zayed district toward a sports club in the Mohandessin area. Along the road, he was suddenly intercepted by a Chevrolet car that blocked his path, after which an individual stepped out of the vehicle
and brandished a firearm directly in his face, demanding that he stop immediately in an attempt to seize his car at gunpoint. Recounting the terrifying ordeal in his initial remarks, Islam Gamal stated that he struggled to comprehend what was
happening at first, initially assuming it might simply be a practical joke or a hidden camera prank. However, he quickly recognized the grave danger threatening his family, particularly with his wife and child seated inside the car, prompting him to
instantly reverse at high speed to escape the gunman's reach. During this abrupt maneuver, the actor encountered another vehicle driven by a woman right behind him, who began confronting him over his sudden backward movement. This unexpected commotion created significant
confusion for the armed assailant, causing him to panic and flee the scene immediately without carrying out his intended robbery. Upon safely reaching the club, Gamal promptly contacted the police and filed an official report detailing the entire incident. Consequently,
Giza detectives intensified their investigation, successfully identifying the perpetrators and executing a precise ambush that resulted in their arrest. During questioning, the suspects confessed to the attempted robbery, explaining that the gunman hesitated to fire because he noticed a small
child in the rear seat and feared causing him harm. All necessary legal measures were subsequently taken, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution to proceed with investigations. Meanwhile, Gamal took to his official Instagram account to express
profound gratitude to the Interior Ministry personnel and the prosecution for their swift response, while acknowledging his deep shock over the harrowing event.
