Informed sources reported today, Saturday, that Iran is reviewing proposals presented by US Vice President J.D. Vance amid a positive atmosphere surrounding the negotiation process, with expectations of a breakthrough in the near future. The sources explained that the proposals

have received positive feedback within Iran, containing general principles for negotiation without a complete plan. They confirmed that Tehran has formed committees to discuss the proposals related to its nuclear program, while an Iranian delegation is present in Qatar to

address issues requiring further clarifications. It was emphasized that discussions focus on sequential steps, and a final proposal has not yet been reached, with direct communication ongoing with Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei and mediators. The sources

indicated that Iran demands guarantees for a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire in exchange for opening the Strait of Hormuz. Expectations for a new round of negotiations were also mentioned, although no date can be set at this time. Meanwhile, a

spokesperson for the Pakistani army expressed "cautious optimism" yesterday regarding the military's mediation efforts between Iran and the United States. Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir visited Tehran twice this month. Responding to a question about positive signs from the visits,

spokesperson Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said, "Why would the Field Marshal (Munir) visit Tehran twice if there was no degree of positivity? So yes, certainly." Chaudhry, Director General of Public Relations for the Pakistani Armed Forces, added that the phrase they

always use is: "cautiously optimistic." He pointed out that "strong parties seek to sabotage and obstruct" because they believe the conflict serves their interests, without naming any specific parties.
