The Popular Mobilization Forces affirmed on Thursday the falsity of claims that Iranian advisors received salaries from the Iraqi government during the fight against terrorist groups. The organization clarified in an official statement that such allegations made by an activist
on a satellite channel distort the facts and disrespect the blood of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during that critical period. It highlighted that Iran provided tangible support to Iraq, including weapons and ammunition, part of which was supplied
free of charge, along with dispatching senior commanders as advisors to assist the Popular Mobilization Forces, among whom 55 were martyred and many others wounded. The statement expressed deep appreciation for the sacrifices of all martyrs who volunteered to defend
Iraq and its sacred lands without compensation, especially the late commander Hajj Qassem Soleimani, who embodied the highest meanings of sacrifice and loyalty in confronting terrorism. It emphasized that recalling these facts is a matter of justice for the sacrifices
and a preservation of loyalty, and denying them contradicts the essence of the Iraqi citizen and their national and moral values.
