A parliamentary bloc announced today, Monday, the suspension of its attendance at parliamentary sessions in protest against what it described as violations and insults targeting the coalition and its leadership. The bloc stated in a statement that there are systematic
violations and irresponsible behaviors persistently practiced by some deputies, representing a clear deviation from parliamentary work principles and political competition rules, falling within malicious defamation campaigns and systematic targeting of the coalition and its leadership. The statement added that the
bloc had consistently sought to rise above negative responses and prioritize wisdom and dialogue, submitting an official memorandum to the Speaker of the Parliament demanding the referral of the concerned deputy to the Parliamentary Ethics Committee; however, no practical measures
were taken, encouraging the continuation of the insults. It pointed out that this situation requires the Speaker and his deputies to take a firm and responsible stance to put an end to these practices. Accordingly, the bloc announced the suspension
of its attendance at parliamentary sessions and will not resume participation until legal procedures are applied according to the internal regulations, ensuring the cessation of violations, preserving the dignity of parliamentary work, and respecting political forces and their leadership. The
bloc emphasized that maintaining political stability and fair competition is not merely a choice but an ethical and legal commitment it will defend by all available legal means. It confirmed that this position does not affect its commitment to serving
the people, calling on the parliament to dedicate its efforts to supporting citizens in facing political, economic, and security challenges instead of engaging in disputes that threaten political and social stability.
